ABOUT US

David Lakisa (PhD)

Dr David Lakisa has worked across private and public sectors of sport and education for the past two decades. He is of Samoan (Polynesian) ancestry and possesses a unique blend of personal and professional experiences. His PhD and Masters research focussed on the intersections of Pacific culture, workplace diversity management (University of Technology Sydney Business School) and international sport management (Southern Cross University). David was the inaugural Pacific Islander Coaching and Development officer at New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL), a former health and physical education teacher and sessional academic at Western Sydney University in the School of Education (2008 - 2016). He is currently a coordinator of religious education programs in regions across Australia and the Pacific.
